FREMONT, Ohio – Not only will the fans be entertained by the exciting racing at Fremont Speedway in 2014, but every week they will have an opportunity to be a part – a VERY BIG PART – of the night’s events!

Each Saturday in the 2014 season at “The Track That Action Built” will feature a unique and different theme and event, many of which involve the fans.

“There would be no racing at Fremont Speedway if it weren’t for the fans. They come every week and spend their hard-earned money and deserve to be entertained and just as important be a part of the night’s events,” said Fremont Speedway Promoter Rich Farmer. “We have events that will get them involved…that will add to the excitement for not only the other fans but the race teams as well.”

Farmer has also increased the point fund for the Fort Ball Pizza Palace 410 Sprints in 2014. The track champion will take home $5,000.

The track’s 63rd anniversary season kicks off Saturday, April 12th on JRC Transportation Night. Fans can come into the Fremont Speedway Hall of Fame and register on a computer to participate in the 2014 Fantasy League. Fans will pick who they think each week’s 410 sprint feature winner will be and they will accumulate points based on how their pick finishes. You have to be present each week to make your pick and the top five in points will be honored at the track’s end-of-the-year banquet.

The 2014 schedule at Fremont includes the greatest sprint car drivers in the world making a visit on Oct. 18th. The event will feature the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series and the farewell tour for 20-time series’ champion Steve Kinser who is retiring from the circuit at the end of the season.

The University of Northwestern Ohio All Star Circuit of Champions will make six stops at the historic fairgrounds track in 2014. Fremont is known as “the home of the All Stars” as the series has made 110 appearances at “The Track That Action Built.”

The All Stars will take part in a Memorial Day double-header on Saturday and Sunday, May 24th and 25th. Sunday’s event is being called the Freedom 100 – the All Star sprints will battle in a $10,000-to-win, 50-lap feature, the Fremont Federal Credit Union 305 Sprints will battle in a 30-lap main while the AAA Ohio Auto Club Dirt Trucks will duke it out in a 20-lap main making for 100 total feature laps. The UNOH All Stars will make two appearances at Fremont during the 32nd Ohio Sprint Speedweek – Thursday, June 26th and the finale, a $10,000-to-win affair on Ludwig Propane Night, Saturday, June 28th. The 7th Annual Jim Ford Classic weekend with the All Stars will be Friday and Saturday, Sept. 12th and 13th. The Saturday event will feature another $10,000-to-win feature in addition to the Third Annual Kick-It kickball tournament with drivers, crew members, fans and area businesses competing to raise funds for childhood cancer research. The Fremont Speedway’s Queens Pageant will also be held on Sept. 13th and a band will entertain following the races both Friday and Saturday.

The Kistler Racing Products FAST (Fremont Attica Sprint Title) Championship Series Presented by KS Sales and Service will battle at Fremont for 9 events while the JLH General Contractors 305 Sprint FAST Championship Series Presented by Engine Pro will compete in 5 events at Fremont in 2014.

Other highlights of the 2014 schedule include the 2nd Annual Mike Hensel Memorial featuring the non-wing Buckeye Machine Buckeye Outlaw Super Sprint Series (BOSS) with the feature winner taking home $5,000.

The 6th class to be inducted into the Fremont Speedway Hall of Fame will be part of the Saturday, June 7th races on Vision quest Night. Also, the night’s races will include the Race of Legends – drivers at least 50 years of age who have not raced in the past two years will be eligible to strap into 305 sprints for a night of racing. “We have put together a pretty impressive list of drivers for this so far including Mark Keegan, Jim Linder, Kenny Jacobs and more,” said Farmer.

On Kistler Engines Night, Saturday, Aug. 2nd, the first 3,000 women to attend the racing will get in FREE! There will also be some fun surprises for the ladies during the night.

As a way to show support to the fantastic night sponsors, billboard sponsors and other business partners who back Fremont Speedway, Saturday, Aug. 9th has been designated Local Business Night. Fans that bring a receipt showing they spent money at any of the speedway’s business partners will get a $2 discount off the night’s admission price. The receipt can’t be more than a week old.

And, for the 15th season, the Tackle Box II Restaurant will sponsor a bicycle give-away each week for a youngster.

Each week a random ticket will be drawn for the Fan of the Night. That fan and a guest will get an upgrade from their general admission seat to a pit-pass, they will get a ride in the Baumann Auto Group Pace Truck, a free meal, a behind-the-scenes look in the scoring tower and more.

Fremont Speedway is creating a special “Fan Zone” under the historic covered grandstands which will feature unique scenes from around the speedway. Watch for further details on this fantastic experience in the near future.
