Former USAC National Sprint Car Champion Rollie Beale Dies

Toledo, OH — (February 17, 2014) — Former USAC National Sprint Car Champion Rollie Beale passed away this morning at the age of 84.  Beale from Toledo, Ohio.  Born January 16, 1930 in Toledo, Ohio Beale won his first race in 1951 in Detroit and went on to win the 1973 USAC National Sprint Car Series title.  After retiring from driving in 1977 Beale remained active in the sport as an official and was often seen at the race track.  Beale was inducted into the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame in 1996 and is also an inductee of the Fremont Speedway and Hoosier Auto Racing Fan Club Halls of Fame.
