Abbottstown, PA – 4/7/2014 – Saturday night April 5th Master Track preparer Fred Putney celebrated his 61st birthday by giving the drivers and teams a dream track that saw not one, but two 10-lap track records broken.

In the 410 Sprints, Ryan Wilson ran the fastest 10 laps in Lincoln Speedway history in two minutes 9.444 seconds in the first heat. That not only broke only the current weight-rule record of two minutes 12.817 seconds set by Brent Marks last year on 3/2/2013, but broke the pre-weight rule record of two minutes 12.905 seconds held by Brian Leppo from 3/14/2009.

And then in the 358 Sprints, Kevin Nouse set the tone early on his feature-winning night by recording the fastest 10 laps in 358 Sprint history in 2 minutes 19.97 seconds to break Mark Smith’s two minute 23.41 second record from 6/22/2013.

It was a big night for all, especially for the fans as they saw:

  • Ryan Wilson record the fastest 10 laps in Lincoln Speedway history in 410 Sprints.
  • Jim Siegel pick up his 10th career win at the Pigeon Hills oval and became the third different winner in three events this season.
  • Kevin Nouse record the fastest 10 laps in 358 Sprint history.
  • Kevin Nouse pick up his third career Lincoln win and became the second different winner in two events.
  • Scott Jorda claimed his first career win in the 20-lap All-American Outlaw feature.
  • And Master Track preparer Fred Putney celebrated his 61st birthday by giving the fans a track to produce all of the above.

It was a great night for all with many more to come in 2014. This Saturday, April 12th, it’ll be ARCH NIGHT in the Pigeon Hills, featuring the 410 Sprints, Super Sportsman, and 358 Late Models.
