Stellar Mel Kenyon Midget Field to run the Glen Niebel Classic at Anderson Speedway April 27

(Lebanon, IN)  The largest Mel Kenyon Midget Series field of cars in recent memory will take the green flag at Anderson Speedway this Sunday, April 27.  Two defending past series champions and numerous race winners will be on hand to start the 2014 season on the high banks of Anderson Speedway.

Mel Kenyon Midget Series past Champions Travis Young and Jessica Bean ore both vowing to win more races in ’14, while series past winners Cordy Horn and Dameron Taylor want to keep Young and Taylor out of victory lane.

Last year’s Simpson World Indy Rookie of the Year combatants Clayton Gaines and Cole Fehr both want to step up to visiting the winner’s circle on a regular basis.  Kent Kriegbaum in the lone Ford powered car in the field would also like to make his inaugural visit to the top of the podium.

Simpson World Indy Rookie of the Year candidates Logan and Ryan Huggler, Ashlea Albertson and Colpen Dooley will be joining series Regulars Amanda Davies, Grant Simpson and Don Pettit.

In addition to the 30-lap Mel Kenyon Midget Series race, the Sprint Car Challenge Series Built by the UAW will headline the days racing action.

The 2014 Mel Ken Midget Series starts the 2014 racing season this Sunday, April 27 at Anderson Speedway.  The Mel Kenyon Midgets will run as a part of the Glen Niebel Classic. Racing starts at 2:00 Pm and Adult tickets are $12.
