Indianapolis, IN — (May 12. 2014) — Legendary open wheel mechanic A.J. Watson passed away this morning at the age of 90. Watson fielded cars in the Indianapolis 500 from 1949 through 1984 and won the race six times as a car builder. Watson also fielded silver crown cars for many seasons.
