TULSA, Okla. (May 12, 2014) – The ASCS Southwest Region returns to action on Saturday, May 17 with the season’s second trip to Queen Creek, Ariz. and the one-third mile, Arizona Speedway.
Bob Ream, Jr. carries the series into the Saturday stop in hopes of repeating the success he found in March, where the non-wing ace turned winged warrior topped the field for the first time in ASCS competition.
While Ream leads by 44 markers, the point’s battle for second through fourth is tight with Joshua Williams being stalked by defending series champion, Rick Ziehl, as well as Ryan Linder with only five points separating the trio.
Lance Norick currently rounds out the top five in regional standings, followed by James Aragon, Nick Parker, James Mosher, Jordan Stetson, and Kaylene Verville in the top ten.
Round six of the 2014 season, events at the Arizona Speedway on Saturday, May 17 are scheduled to get underway at 7:30 P.M. (MT) and will include Mod Lites, Pure Stocks, and Bombers. For more information on the Arizona Speedway log onto http://www.arizonaspeedway.net or call 480-926-6688.
