– During his 2013 championship run, Kyle Hirt had a forgettable night at the Petaluma Speedway. Fast Forward to 2014, and the reigning King of the West had a very strong night as he scored a fourth place finish aboard his Roth Enterprises/HR Livestock Transportation/3H Cattle entry.

“We have speed, and were right there, and I know we will start winning a bunch of these races soon,” Hirst said.

Timing in third fastest, the Chico, CA avoided near disaster on the start of the race, as his machine bicycled and got up on two wheels nearly going over, but he was able to save it, and charge from last to a third place finish, putting him safely in the Dash and the Feature event.

Starting in the second row of the Dash, KH was able to gain a spot, finishing in the third spot, putting his Mobil1/FK Rod Ends/Weld Wheels backed machine on the inside for the start of the 30-lap main event.

When the green flag waived, Hirst hooked up in an exciting battle with Brent Kaeding, and brother in-law, Willie Croft, as they fought for second, third, and fourth positions.

A 23-lap green flag run saw the leaders in heavy traffic early on a track that produced for an exciting race.

The last handful of laps saw a couple of restarts play a role in the finish, and when it was all said and done, Hirst crossed the stripe in the fourth spot.

“My guys worked hard, and we had a good car,” he said. “It was an exciting race, and I have to congratulate my brother-in-law, Willie Croft, on the win. I have to thank Dennis and Teresa Roth, and like I said earlier, hopefully we can start ripping wins off soon.”

Kyle and his Roth Motorsports team would like to thank Roth Enterprises, HR Livestock Transportation, 3H Cattle,  Mobil1, FK Rod Ends, Weld Wheels, Brown and Miller Racing Solutions, Kent Performance, Kaeding Performance, and Astro Titanium for their support in 2013.
