As the teams prepare for the upcoming big races this summer, the Blazin Racin team is ready to announce their plans. The Todd and Susan LaHaise owned Buffalo Wild Wing racing team has agreed to terms with Roger Crockett to run their sprint car for the rest of the summer. The team has begun preparations for the Knoxville Nationals in their Buffalo Wild Wings sponsored sprint car. Crockett started his stint in the seat last week and will continue to drive the Greg McCormick wrenched machine throughout the summer.
Fans will not be seeing double at the race track as Roger will have a teammate from time to time. Bryan Clauson will be in a second Buffalo Wild Wings car this weekend at Knoxville Raceway,g as well as in the 410 Knoxville Nationals. Clauson will be in the car several more times throughout the summer in preparation for the Knoxville Nationals and those races can be found on Bryan’s web site at www.BryanClauson.com.
Previously, the team was working with Scott Winters to run through the summer but Scott chose to re-focus on his work and family. The BWW team was trying to set up a motor development program with Cap Henry but things just didn’t come together as planned and that idea was scrapped.
With the seat open and Roger trying to run his team out of his own pockets as well as prior experience with the BWW team, McCormick made the call. The team had some good runs last weekend as well as a little bad luck and hope to rebound this weekend. Look for the team to run Knoxville Raceway and Huset’s Speedway this weekend. The team plans to run Roger at I-80 Speedway against the World of Outlaws next week on June 6, Knoxville Raceway on June 7, and back to Huset’s Speedway on Sunday, June 8th.
