Atlanta, GA – June 5, 2014 – The United Sprint Car Series Outlaw Thunder Tour presented by K&N Filters winged sprint cars keep a busy 2014 racing schedule rolling with a North Georgia and Eastern Alabama double-header in the Southern regional series on Father’s Day weekend. On Friday, June 13th the series visits the re-modeled Lavonia Speedway in Lavonia, Georgia. On Saturday, June 14th the USCS sprint drivers make their 20th+ visit to East Alabama Motor Speedway for the USCS Alabama Sprint Car Nationals 2014 and 7th annual Randy Helton Memorial Race. Both tracks have been USCS driver and fan favorites over the past 17 seasons and were on the schedule when the series was founded in 1997. Both events will pay $2000 to the winner with $4500 possible.
The series last visited Lavonia Speedway last season on the same weekend. The 4/10 mile red clay oval track was closed for two years before re-opening for the 2013 season under new ownership and . The USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour presented by K&N Filters has been a Father’s Day weekend tradition at East Alabama Motor Speedway for eighteen years. The USCS sprint cars will be making their one and only scheduled appearances of the season at both speedways.
In addition to the 130 mile per hour USCS winged sprint cars, the www.rockauto.com USCS 600 Sprint Car series winged mini sprints who will also reach speeds of over 100 miles per hour on Lavonia Speedway’s straight-aways. Join the USCS sprint cars at Lavonia Speedway on Friday night’s busy racing card will be the Fastrak Pro Late Models, Hobby, Stock Four and Rookie/Beginner Four Cylinders.
On Saturday night both of the USCS sprint car divisions are on the USCS Alabama Sprint Car Nationals racing card. At East Alabama Motor Speedway four weekly racing divisions also join the action with those open wheel headliners. Thise Saturday EAMS divisions are the Limited Late Models, Hobby, Bombers and Road Warriors.
