SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Selinsgrove Speedway will swing back into action at 7:30 p.m. this Saturday, June 21, with a four division racing card featuring the 358-360 sprint cars, late models, pro stocks, and roadrunners on Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Night (JDRF). Track gates will open at 5 p.m.

For the third consecutive year, college student and pro stock driver Nathan Long of Selinsgrove, who won his first race of the season last Saturday night, is heading up the JDRF night at the track. There will be games for children plus a Chinese auction including lots of motorsports items as part of the night’s fundraiser.

The 358-360 sprint cars will race in a 25-lap feature paying $2,000 to win and $200 to start. Entering this weekend’s competition, three-time winner Mark Smith of Sunbury holds a mere 80-point lead in the A&A Auto Stores/Mach 1 Chassis standings over TJ Stutts of Liverpool, who also scored his third win of the season in last Saturday’s Joe Whitcomb Memorial.

The super late models will also compete in a 25-lap A-main paying $1,500 to win and $200 to take the green flag. In the Jeff’s Auto Body & Recycling Center late model standings, one-time winner Steve Campbell of Danville holds a 220-point lead over two-time winner and defending track champion Jeff Rine of Danville.

In addition to Long, Brad Mitch of McClure and Kyle Bachman of Selinsgrove have won features in the pro stock division this season. Four-time winner Mitch, however, has a commanding 560-point lead over two-time winner Bachman in the chase for the track championship going into this weekend’s 15-lap feature.

The roadrunners return this Saturday for a 12-lap main event. After five races, three-time winner Keith Bissinger of Orangeville leads the standings with a 140-point advantage over two-time winner and defending champion Brian Johnson of Ashland.

The United Racing Company (URC) sprint cars return to Selinsgrove Speedway for the Middleswarth Potato Chips Firecracker 30 at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 28, plus super late models at pro stocks.

Selinsgrove Raceway Park will be back in action at 7 p.m. this Friday, June 20, with a program of go kart and micro sprint car racing. Track gates will open at 5 p.m.
