Belleville, KS — (July 9, 2014) — The 37th annual Belleville Midget Nationals on July 31-Aug. 2 at the Belleville High Banks is now three weeks away! Excitment continues to build after last year’s new format change. The United States Auto Club (USAC), along with The Belleville High Banks Race Committee will again serve as sanctioning organization .
The USAC Honda National Midget Dirt Series will again be the focal point of one of midget racing’s crown jewel events. Action kicks off on Thursday July 31 for the midgets with the always exciting qualifications around the 1/2-mile high banked clay oval, preliminary races and a 25-lap midget feature race. The USAC Silver Crown Series will hold a practice session during the evening, in preparation for Friday Nights events.
“The Hustle on the High Banks” on Friday Night Aug. 1, will feature a 50-lap feature for the USAC Silver Crown Cars. Last year’s winner Tracy Hines is currently tied for the series points lead with Kody Swanson. The JayHusker Mini Sprint Series will compete on the track’s infield quarter-mile track.
Saturday Aug. 2 will feature last chance races for participants to make the 40-lap feature, midget racing’s most grueling event of the season. A check of $10,000 awaits the winner. The United Rebel Sprint Car Series again returns for the “3rd annual 305 Sprint Nationals”.
General Admission tickets for all events are sold first-come first-served on race day at the ticket gate. Reserved seating tickets are available for the event. General admission available only if the event is not sold out, and available only on the day of the race at the track ticket office. Special children ticket pricing is being offered this year.
