TULSA, Okla. (July 24, 2014) – The Arizona based ASCS Southwest Region swings back into action this Saturday, July 26 at the high speed Tucson International Raceway for the season’s fourth visit to the three-eighths mile oval.
Three previous starts have yielded just as many winners with Joshua Williams taking the win on April 5. Rick Ziehl stood atop the podium on May 3 and Bob Ream, Jr. raced to victory on June 28. Following up his win at Tucson the following week at the Arizona Speedway, Ream’s win total stands at three this season with hopes of taking his streak even further this Saturday.
Rick Ziehl has begun to stretch his advantage over the season’s championship standings. While still slim, the difference is 38 over Lance Norick with Joshua Williams third, 42 points removed from the lead. Bob Ream, Jr. and Ryan Linder are currently tied for fourth with the nod going to Ream based on wins.
Saturday, July 26 at the Tucson International Raceway will begin at 6:45 P.M. (MT) and will include Street Stocks, X-Mods, Factory/Pure Stocks, and Hornets. Admission is $15 with kids 11 years of age and younger admitted into the grandstands for free. For more information, log onto http://www.
