Dodge City, KS — (March 3, 2015) — Little more than one month away, the 2015 season opener at Dodge City Raceway Park is rapidly approaching.

And, before the season officially gets under way on Saturday night, April 11, everyone gets a tremendous sneak preview with a car show and then an open practice session one week earlier on Saturday, April 4.

All racers are invited to bring their cars for display to Dodge City’s Village Square Mall at 2601 Central Avenue on April 4 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for everyone to get an up close look before that evening’s practice.

Pepsi and water will be provided while supplies last to all those that bring cars for display, with drivers receiving free admission to the evening’s practice session for their support of the car show.

The April 4 open practice session, set to run from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., offers free grandstand admission with a $10 pit entry fee.

The April 4 practice will serve as a precursor to likely the most exciting season of racing action yet at Dodge City Raceway Park, with the season opener featuring the track’s championship chase divisions of DCRP Sprint Cars along with IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sport Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars and IMCA Hobby Stocks taking place on the 3/8-mile clay oval on April 11.

The April 11 season opener will mark the first of 15 nights of competition at Dodge City Raceway Park with a number of special events along the way, highlighted by the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars Boothill Showdown on July 3-4.
