After passing points were tabulated, Madsen found himself in the nightly redraw, where the five pill would put him in the third row for the 25-lap A Main event.

Working into the second spot, Madsen would chase after race leader, Jeff Swindell. With Swindell setting a good pace out front, Madsen would continue to hit his marks until he made a move on lap 21 to take command of the race.

Friday night was a night of Top-Fives for Madsen as he would finish fifth during the Lucas Oil ASCS National program.

Heading to the Knoxville Raceway on Saturday night, Madsen would show he was Nationals ready by setting the standard during qualifying time-trials.
