Tulare, CA – September 15, 2015…With the season getting ready to resume at Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare next month there are new pit area policies being put in place starting with the October 10 KRC Safety Fall Shootout.
Starting immediately children UNDER 14 years of age will not be allowed in the pit area during the races. Those that are under 16 will be required to provide proof of age, which means a copy of your birth certificate, id or a notarized document. A copy is also required to be left with the pit booth staff. There is no copy machine in the booth so it’s required to bring a copy with you to leave with staff. Consent forms will be available in the booth.
Speed will also be closely monitored for those on ATV’s throughout the pit area, regardless of age. Everyone is reminded to keep safe speeds and be smart when riding around the pits.
These policies will be permanently in place at Thunderbowl Raceway from now on and will be observed at both the October 10 KWS/USAC event, as well as the three-night Trophy Cup on October 15, 16 & 17.
“With insurance being such a big deal we felt that it was in the best interest of the track to put these new policies in place,” said Thunderbowl Raceway promoter Steve Faria. “We have two huge weekend’s coming up in October and we want everyone to be safe in the pit area. A lot of cars will be idling around the pits, especially the Trophy Cup where we will have 100 cars. We’re all really looking forward to finishing up the season in a huge way. Everyone is working hard to give the fans & teams a great show to cap the year.”
