Holly, MI – May 17, 2016 – The Must See Racing Sprint Series presented by Engine Pro (MSRSS) will return to racing action this weekend with a huge double-header on tap. The series will invade the Buckeye state of Ohio for the first time since 2014. The series enters a busy stretch of the season as it prepares for 3 races during a 5 day stretch.
The series will make its first-ever visit to the 3/10 slightly banked Shady Bowl Speedway in Degraff, OH this Saturday, May 21. Winged 410 Sprint Cars have made a handful of appearances at the track over the past twenty-seven years. Jack Hewitt was victorious the first time winged 410 asphalt sprint cars made an appearance at Shady Bowl Speedway during an All Star Circuit of Champions event on August 25, 1989.
The following afternoon will find the series competing for the fist-time-ever at the ultra-fast ½ mile Spitzer Motor Speedway in Mansfield, OH. The television cameras of MAVTV will be on hand to broadcast the event to a national television audience at a later date.
Both events will be round #3 and #4 of the inaugural American Sprint Cup series. Jimmy McCune swept the first two events contested at Anderson, SC and Hickory, NC.
Several drivers form the southeast have committed to participate in this weekend’s events including: Johnny Bridges, Chris Lamb, and Jay Dunham. Other drivers expected to compete include: Jeff Bloom, Jason Blonde, Jerry Caryer, Grant Galloway, Brian Gerster, Ryan Gillenwater, Jimmy McCune, Kris Leming, Bobby Santos III, Derek Snyder, Joe Speakman, and Jacob Wilson among others.
