The 2016 URSS/IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Series has been yet another success despite several rainouts. Six Races with Six different winners is proving once again that parity is the name of the game in the series in 2016.
This weekend the Rebels return to a track that has seen four different winners in the four trips to the Thomas County Speedway in Colby Kansas.
Jason Martin, Michael Williams, Mark Walinder and Koby Walters have all graced the Winner’s Circle in the URSS Series history. The lightning fast 3/8’s oval has always been one of the driver’s favorite tracks to race at over the years.
Along with the URSS Sprints taking on the Thomas County Speedway the Vap Construction Modifieds will be racing for $1,000 to win sponsored by Mitten’s Truck Stop. Added money will also be up for grabs in the Pioneer Seeds Stock Cars, Sporer Land Sport Mods, and S & M Repair and Towing Hobby Stocks. Hot Laps with start at 6:00 with all the racing action starting at 7:00 pm sharp. So join us for a great night of racing action. Sunday night the URSS Rebels will return to RPM Speedway for the Steve King Foundation Night. This was rescheduled due to an April 30th rainout. The Rebels have had a great history at RPM Speedway with the fans treated to some awesome shows over the years. In the URSS Tenth Anniversary Season four drivers grace the Winners Circle in 2015 with Koby Walters, Steven Richardson, Zach Blurton and Luke Cranston picking up wins.
Joining the URSS/IMCA Sprints on the Steve King Foundation Night, will be the NCRA Late Models, IMCA Hobby Stocks, Crazy Cruisers and the Kansas Antique Racers.
Pits open at 3:30pm, GA at 4:30pm, Hot Laps at 5:30pm, Green Flag waves at 6:30pm.
