Post Falls, Idaho- The Royal Purple NSRA Sprint Series traveled to their one and only visit to State Line Speedway on Saturday June 25th. Twelve teams would make the travel to the Idaho panhandle ¼-mile oval, located in Post Falls. Drivers from the states of Washington, Oregon, and Texas were represented as well as the Canadian province of British Columbia.
Matt Hein, starting second, would seize the lead on the opening start. The only thing to slow down the Roseburg, Oregon driver was a couple of cautions that would bunch the field up. But each and every time he would master the restart. Hein would lead every single lap to win his second consecutive career Super Shoe. It was also the second straight race that the Coast-Line West Insulation/Independent Motor Rebuilders/J.R. Standley Family #98H Beast has graced victory lane with the Royal Purple NSRA Sprint Series.
Langley, British Columbia’s Aaron Willison would finish second in his Rags To Riches Top Shop/Kick Ass Cookies/Serious Performance Race Engines #41 Stealth while third went to Andy Alberding, of Roseburg, Oregon, in the Rockmount Nassau Welding Solutions/Davis Auto Parts/WSK Machine/Oregon Tool & Supply #76 Beast. The rest of the top five would feature Veneta, Oregon veteran Mitch Holte in fourth, chauffeuring his Holte Drilling Tools #32 machine, and fifth finishing Levi Rose, hailing from Colville, Washington and piloting the Carey Auto Body/C.S. Fabworks/Pro Automotive #65 LeJeune.
Matt Hein was the quickest car in time trials in the early parts of the night. Heat race winners were Poulsbo, Washington’s Randy DuBois in the Geico Insurance/DuBois Construction/First Line Systems #7D car and Mitch Holte.
