From Port Royal Speedway
PORT ROYAL, Pa. — (July 25, 2016) — Plans to honor driver Randy Wolfe and car owners John and Pee Wee Zemaitis at the upcoming Living Legends Dream Race at Port Royal Speedway on August 6 are taking shape.
A pre-race autograph session with Wolfe and the Zemaitis’ along with several of their prior car owners and drivers is now slated with several more names still under review.
The list of confirmed attendees as of now includes drivers Bobby Weaver, Sean Michael, Lucas Wolfe, and Stevie Smith along with car owners Jim and Laura Allebach as well as Glen Hyneman.
Wolfe ended his career in 1999 behind the wheel of the Allebach No. 75. He piloted Hyneman’s mount in 1990.
The autograph session will take place prior to the big race, from 5 – 6 pm.
Elsewhere, the list of driver prizes and cash for this year’s Dream Race is growing with several new firms joining the fold of race supporters along with those of seasons past.
Coming on board new for the 2016 event is Kreitz Oval Track Parts, MBH Race Products, Triple X Chassis and Hackenberg’s Tree Service.

The 2016 Dream Race will again find the 410 sprints competing in twin 16-lap semi mains followed by a 35-lap Dream A Main, paying a minimum of $10,000 to win while the semis each pay $2,000 to win along with full purses.
Drivers that place first, second and third in each lap of the semis and A will accumulate lap money at the rate of $10/lap.
In addition Hard Charger Awards are posted in the semis and the A.
The super late models will compete for $2,000 to win and $200 to start on the night in a 25-lap feature event.
The total one night cash purse for sprint cars will again eclipse $55,000 not counting thousands upon thousands of dollars in contingency cash and prizes on the table to be claimed while the total late model purse pushes the total event purse payout alone to more than $65,000.
