#3 – My Wife’s White Wine and Herb Marinated Turkey Breast: This was the first Thanksgiving turkey my wife ever cooked for us as a family and has become a staple of our turkey day dinner. After sitting in the marinade and having it injected into the turkey six hours later you have a uniquely flavored thanksgiving feast. Though it’s not as good on the turkey hot bun the second day the marinated turkey stands great on its own. This turkey has been a podium finisher every year during Thanksgiving.

#1 – On the pole position for Thanksgiving Dinner is my any pie my Mother makes. Pies only appear at Thanksgiving because if you ate what was in her pie on any regular basis you likely would weigh twice as much as you do now. It is however the best pie I have ever had anywhere. Others have said the same thing. My particular favorite has become apple with chocolate and chocolate cream tied for second. My son is particularly fond of her Pumpkin Pie.
The secret in the setup is the crust that is made with all kinds of goodness that is all pretty bad for you, but okay in moderation. Mom’s pies dominate Thanksgiving like Donny Schatz owns the Knoxville Nationals.
