Malcuit Wins King of the Country Feature at Wayne County

ORRVILLE, Ohio (September 25, 2021) — Wayne County Speedway’s season came to a close with the two day 9th annual Dirt Blowout this past weekend with some great racing action.

The Pine Tree Towing & Recovery Sprints started things off Saturday with Ricky Peterson and King of the County points leader, Dean Jacobs on the front row. Jacobs night would not go well for him as he spun in turn two on the opening lap to send him to the tail.
Peterson grabbed the lead on the restart as 3rd starting Danny Mumaw was in his tire tracks. Action came to a stop on lap 7 when William Aumend flipped over the wall in turn two. Laps 8, 9 & 10 saw the caution flag for Dean Jacobs, Travis Danford and Leyton Wagner. On the lap 10 restart, Mumaw was able to over power Peterson in turn one and take the lead as Jamie Myers, Henry Malcuit and R J Jacobs ran third to fifth.
The race halted again on lap 13 when Wyatt Zimmerman took a tumble in turn one. Back to green and Peterson kept the pressure on Mumaw for the lead as Malcuit took third from Jamie Myers as Chris Myers was hounding R J Jacobs for fifth.
As the two leaders were dueling for the lead, Malcuit was closing in on them. The final caution waved on lap 24 for a spun Brad Reber and on this restart, Malcuit would motor past Peterson for second and pull up right behind Mumaw.
With the white flag waving, Malcuit and his Slick Woody’s Cornhole Co., Red Malcuit Inc., McIntosh Oil #70 maneuvered past Mumaw in turn one and then the Strasburg driver held off Mumaw’s move out of turn four for the win, his second Blow Out win in a row. With his heat and feature wins and Dean Jacobs 11th place finish, Malcuit wins the King of the County Sprint Challenge by 2 points over Dean Jacobs as Nick Patterson takes third in the Series. Peterson finished the feature in 3rd followed by Chris Myers and R J Jacobs, who was the other heat winner.
