Searer Wins Feature, Leiby Wins 358 Championship at Lincoln

The youth movement continued in the final points race of the season for “”358” sprint cars at Lincoln Speedway Saturday night.

Rookie Brent Shearer of Manheim became the sixth different first-time winner in the 20-lap feature event. Shearer, who came from 19th to fourth a week ago, started fourth and finished the job this week, holding off two-time track champ Jeff Rohrbaugh at the end.

Ray Shows Authority at Daughtry

Davey Ray ran down Tanner Thorson in lapped traffic in the final five laps, battling wheel-to-wheel all the way around the three-eighths-mile dirt oval until Ray’s winning move on Thorson in turn two on lap 22. Ray, of Davenport, Iowa, had to withstand one final green-white-checkered restart, yet was able to cruise away to his first USAC Indiana Midget Championship victory Saturday night at Daugherty Speedway.

Badlands Motor Speedway Adding USAC National Midgetsto Rock and Roll Gold Cup for 2017

The famed World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series will return to Badlands Motor Speedway for a huge two-day show on July 4th weekend in 2017. The stars and cars of the WoO, which includes drivers such as Donny Schatz, Joey Saldana, Daryn Pittman and Brad Sweet, will invade BMS on Saturday, July 1 and Sunday, July 2.

MOWA Rained Out at Spoon River, Racing Jacksonville Tonight

The Midwest Open Wheel Association portion of the Tom Knowles Memorial at Spoon River Speedway was rained out. Right after the announcement that Spoon River was cancelled MOWA announced they are competing tonight at Jacksonville Speedway with D2 Midgets as the support division.
