Non-Wing point fund established for 2013 non-wing racing events

As the Oil Capital Racing Series nears the start of its 12th season of sprint car competition at the Brill Motor Speedway in Meeker Oklahoma on March 30th, OCRS officials, in conjunction with supporting sponsors, have produced a separate point fund for the previously announced “non-wing” events that dot the 27 race schedule.

OCRS visits the St Francis Children’s Hospital

Today, the Oil Capital Racing Series was invited to meet the wonderful children of the “St Francis Children’s Hospital” in Tulsa. OCRS provided a few sprint cars for display with drivers autographing pictures for the kids. A variety of snacks were passed out and “Gabby The Clown” joined in as well to entertain the children. Several smiles and uplifting moods from the children made for a great day.

OCRS 2012 Banquet Set for November 10th

The 2012 Oil Capital Racing Series awards banquet is now penciled in for Saturday night, November 10th, 2012 in Tulsa. The venue is the Tulsa Select hotel at the “Yale Ave” exit of Interstate 44. The banquet is sponsored by Danny and Tina Smith’s “Same Day Auto Repair”.

OCRS Finale Rescheduled for Sunday

Oil Capital Racing Series president Barry Grabel and promoters Mark and Debbie Brill have announced that the make-up date for last weeks cancellation due to weather issues will be made up this Sunday October 14th @ 3pm at the Brill Motor Speedway in Meeker Oklahoma. This event will bring a climax to the 2012 OCRS season at BMS, the same track that began the chase for the Goodyear Tire and Rubber / OCRS Championship back in April.

Officials from Brill Motor Speedway and the Oil Capital Racing Series have cancelled the scheduled 2012 season finale for the OCRS sprint cars due to the forecasted cold temperatures expected to sweep through the area on Saturday October 6th.
