Tulsa OK — (October 9, 2012) — Oil Capital Racing Series president Barry Grabel and promoters Mark and Debbie Brill have announced that the make-up date for last weeks cancellation due to weather issues will be made up this Sunday October 14th @ 3pm at the Brill Motor Speedway in Meeker Oklahoma. This event will bring a climax to the 2012 OCRS season at BMS, the same track that began the chase for the Goodyear Tire and Rubber / OCRS Championship back in April.

A quality field of race teams is expected for ‘Last Call’ to sling bright reddish clay as far as their Goodyear dressed wheels will allow. The king of the champ sprints is Rose Oklahoma’s ‘Jammin’ Jamie Passmore, who has locked up his fourth OCRS title in the past five seasons. As with the track its self, Passmore will look to bookend the OCRS season at BMS as he started the year with a waltz into victory lane. However, he wont find the return trip to be an easy task.

The ‘Gasman’, Whit Gastineau, has found his best rhythm in the late stages of the season by winning three straight since Passmore won his last feature event on September 1st at the Caney Valley Speedway. Jeremy Allen upset the favorites at the Salina Highbanks Speedway on 9/22 in a dominating performance and there is no reason such a solid run couldn’t be backed up with another.

Add to the list the likes of other 2012 OCRS feature winners such as: 2-time winner  ‘The Caretaker’, Danny Smith of Sapulpa and then there’s the ‘Princess’ from Oklahoma City, Miss Shayla Waddell. Other potential front runners include: The ‘Lindsay Flash’, Miss Harli White, who has taken two podium finishes in her last two outings and Fred Mattox of nearby Drumright who has multiple BMS feature wins from weekly track programs. Mattox has kicked the door so often for his first feature OCRS win that only dangling hinges keep the door from falling down. Former Tulsa Speedway Champion and OCRS series owner, Kenneth Walker, is expected to make a run in the season finale as well.

OCRS drivers Michael Bookout and Fred Mattox will have their cars on display at the main ticket booth beginning about 1:00pm and until 1:30pm. Fans will be able to meet these young drivers, have pictures taken with them and receive free autographed pictures as well (while they last). Come out to the Brill Motor Speedway and say hello to these brave pilots who drive their racing machines “On The Edge!”

As the curtain falls on the 2012 racing season, so does the “Back Row Challenge” sponsored by the great people of “The Oil Medics”, a FT. Worth Texas based Lubrication Company. The season began with the offering of a $1,000 bonus to any challenger who earned a pole-position starting berth for the nights A Feature and chose to forgo that precious spot on the grid and retreat to the rear of the field. There, a challenger would need to win from the rear to collect the cash. The bonus has now swelled to $2,000 for a successful challenge. Will there be any brave and daring souls this week? Last chance for a gambling team to make a run at it!
