Port Royal’s Twins Rained Out, Tuscarora 50 Is Saturday

Port Royal, PA — (September 9, 2011) — With nearly 40 sprint cars signed in for action, persistent light and then heavy rain cancelled the September 9 Living Legends Dream Night Before The 50 twin 20s at Port Royal Speedway.

The race will not be made up.

The speedway returns Saturday, September 10 at 7 PM with the 44th annual Jakes Carts/AB Auto Glass Tuscarora 50 for sprint cars as part of the Juniata County Fair.

Late models will also be on the card.

All of the thousands of dollars in contingency money and prizes slated to be given away at the Friday twin 20s show will now be distributed at the Tuscarora 50.

In addition, the Living Legend honors and awards for Keith Kauffman and Walt Dyer will also be conducted at the Tuscarora 50.

The 50 will close the 2011 season at Port Royal and crown the sprint car track champion as well as the late model champion.

There will be no time trials for the sprint cars.

The show is raindated for Sunday, September 11 at 6:30 PM featuring sprint cars only.
