Tulsa, OK — (May 28, 2013) — The Hose Advantage Store Southwest Region returns to the Tucson International Raceway on Saturday, June 1 for Military Appreciation Night.

All uniformed members of the United States Armed Forces, including their families, that present proper I.D. will gain free admission to the three-eighths mile clay oval as the Hose Advantage Store Southwest Region joins with the Super Stocks, X-Mods, Hornets, and Mod Lites.

Gaining his first regional victory of 2013 this past Saturday at the Thunder Raceway in Show Low, Ariz. current points leader Rick Ziehl looks to undo the strong hold held by Lorne Wofford at the Tucson oval as the Alamogordo, N.M. driver has taken the past two checkered flags at the Tucson International Raceway.

The region’s tenth outing of 2013; a quick look at the season’s numbers leading up this Saturday’s showdown shows 27 Heat Races having been won by 22 drivers. Six B-Features by as many drivers as well as nine A-Features among six winners.

Lorne Wofford leads the series at three triumphs (Tucson – 4/6, Tucson – 5/4, C.A.R. – 5/18) with Jason Johnson as the only other repeat winner so far in 2013; sweeping the first two rounds of the Cocopah Cup Challenge on March 1 and 2.

Remaining winners include Brian Brown (Tucson – 2/22), Roger Crockett (Tucson – 2/23), Logan Forler (Arizona Speedway – 5/30), and Rick Ziehl (Thunder Raceway – 5/25).

Nine drivers have led at least one A-Feature lap with Jason Johnson remaining on top at 55 to his credit. Lorne Wofford (35), Brian Brown (33), Rick Ziehl (32), Logan Forler (25), Kyle McCutcheon (23), Billy Chester (10, and Roger Crockett (4) make up the drivers who have paced the 235 laps completed in 2013.
