TULSA, Okla. (February 11, 2014) – After sponsoring the Winged 360 Sprint Car Power Rankings in 2013, Rod End Supply has signed back on as title sponsor of the most active division of the Open Wheel Power Rankings.
A part of the recurring “The Wheatley Chronicles” series of articles on www.racinboys.com, the Open Wheel Power Rankings are determined by cumulative points based on a sliding scale dependent upon car count at Sprint Car and Midget events across all sanctions and non-sanctions throughout North America.
In addition to the Rod End Supply Winged 360 Sprint Car Power Rankings, other divisions in the Open Wheel Power Rankings include STIDA Winged 410 Sprint Cars, Non-Wing 410 Sprint Cars, Beaver Stripes Non-Wing 360 Sprint Cars, Midgets and 305’s.
The 2013 edition of the Rod End Supply Winged 360 Sprint Car Power Rankings came down to the final weekend of the season with Jason Johnson getting the nod over fellow Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour competitor Johnny Herrera by just 26 points for the top ranking.
While Johnson and Herrera led the way, others among the top ten included Tim Crawley, Brian Brown, Logan Forler, Tony Bruce, Jr., Roger Crockett, Jeff Swindell, Andy Forsberg and Steve Poirier as 869 different drivers earned points in nearly 700 events.
The 2014 edition of the Rod End Supply Winged 360 Power Rankings will officially get under way with East Bay Raceway Park’s “King of the 360’s” Nationals in Tampa, FL, on February 20-22.
