Rossburg, OH – (October 11, 2014) – Thomas Meseraull picked up his first career Eldora Speedway victory on Saturday night during the UNOH Sprintacular with the Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series. Meseraull took the lead from Logan Jarrett and held off C.J. Leary for the victory. The win was also Meseraull’s first with a team ride he just picked up recently.
“Every time I come here I tell everyone I suck, because I do. I figured out how to drive it straight,” said Meseraull in victory lane.
With a fifth place finish Mike Miller clinched the 2014 Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series point championship. For Miller it was his first championship with the series.
After a caution for the initial start when Justin Grant got into the wall Logan Jarrett jumped into the early lead and built up a sizeable advantage while Travis Hery, Derek Hastings, Dallas Hewitt, and C.J. Leary battled for second. While they were racing Miller took advantage and slid past Leary and Hastings for third. One lap later Leary slide back by Miller for second.
On lap nine Leary and Hewitt began to race for second, this allowed Meseraull to close in and slide both of them at the same time for second on lap 12. By then the field had caught up to Jarrett. Meseraull passed Jarrett on lap 15 for the lead. One lap later Leary took over the second spot.
After a caution on lap 16 for Jarrett Andretti Leary took a shot under Meseraull for the lead with a slide job in turns three and four. Meseraull did not budge though and held his line through the top of turn four to maintain the lead. From there Meseraull went on to victory over Leary, Hewitt, Jarrett, and Miller.
