Bouncing back from a tough go with the Civil War Series one week ago, Andy Forsberg and the C&M Motorsports team recorded their 11th win of the 2016 season by way of Saturday night’s Tribute to Al Hinds triumph in Placerville, CA.
“The track didn’t really do what I thought it would, but my guys gave me a really good racecar and it forced me to drive a smart race,” Andy Forsberg said.
Timing the PitStopUSA/PT Shocks/Autism Awareness No. 7c machine in second fastest during qualifying time trials, Forsberg would work his way forward in heat race action as he recorded a second place finish.
Lining up on the front row of the feature event after the redraw, Forsberg would flex his muscle early in the night as he jumped out to the early lead. With the action heating up behind him, Forsberg was smooth out front as he adapted to the rapidly changing Placerville Speedway.
With the track continuing to slick off, Forsberg would continue to hit his marks as he kept Mason Moore and Steven Tiner at bay.
As he has done so many time in the course of his storied career, Forsberg would not be denied on this night as he claimed yet another victory at the Placerville Speedway.
“IT was a great night for us,” Forsberg said. “The track at Placerville has really been awesome the last few months, and I commend them for their hard work. My guys too worked hard, and it was awesome to get another win.”
