The recent Midwest Supermodified Association Board of Directors meeting held on October 21, 2009 has set the course for the MSA for the 2010 season and beyond. Since the inception of the Midwest Supermodified Association there has been an MSA Board of Directors. Effective immediately the MSA Board of Directors will be dissolved. Randy and Rhonda Burch are the people in charge of the Midwest Supermodified Association with the help and support of Kevin Jaycox from this point forward. There will be an MSA Advisory Board and there are plans to bring back the MSA steak fry with the intention of having at least a $5,000 point fund at the end of the season. The MSA Superchix will continue the support of this organization through their fund raising efforts.
While these changes have just taken place, nothing has really changed for the fans. In the grandstands there will still be the same intense racing that the Midwest Supermodified Association provides. The 2010 MSA schedule will be released on Dec. 1, 2009. The tentative MSA schedule has twelve races for the upcoming 2010 season with the possibility of as many as three new supermodifieds joining the MSA ranks. Every attempt will be made to keep the MSA shows from conflicting with the ISMA shows in 2010.
These decisions were made to help keep the Midwest Supermodified Association moving in a positive direction and to help with the survival of the supermodified division as a whole in these difficult economic times we are facing. Further information will be available at the Midwest Supermodified Association Awards Banquet which will be held on January 23, 2010 at the Westlake Holiday Inn 1100 Crocker Road.
