The opening night of the annual King of Wings at the Perth Motorplex last weekend didn’t bring much luck to Danny Reidy and it was where his campaign ended.
A crash during the running of the B-main on the opening night brought his weekend to a premature end after the Reidy Racing team were unable to repair the NT # 5 Desert Palms Resort / Titan Plant Hire supported J&J in time for the second night.
“We hadn’t had the best of nights leading up to our crash during the B-main and when we hit the wall pretty hard after I had lost complete use of my steering made things even worse,” explained Reidy of his steering component failure. “The crash destroyed everything except for the engine and chassis, but we’ll be back next weekend to run the Krikke Boys Shootout.”
Reidy, who had earlier in the opening night of the King of Wings qualified in a disappointing 26th in time trials and placed eighth in his heat race which sentenced him to a ninth place start in the B-main in order to transfer through to the preliminary feature race, will line up next weekend (February 27 and 28) for annual Krikke Boys Shootout that is to be held at Bunbury City Raceway in WA.
Reidy would like to thank Desert Palms Resort in Alice Springs, Titan Plant Hire, Baines Engines, Gonzo Racing Pipes, Camden Neon Signs and P&M Motor Body Repairs for all their support throughout the 09/10 season.
