PERTH MOTORPLEX
Ryan Farrell and the Monte Motorsport team led the way in Saturday’s 25-lap feature event at Perth Motorplex. Farrell started eighth and began working his way forward in the main event. With 17 laps to go, Farrell was in fifth. During the next five laps, he worked his way into the runner-up position and took the lead with 12 laps remaining. During the final 10 laps of the race, Farrell was in command en route to the victory.
“Its been a long time between drinks, it was nice to finally win a show,” Farrell said. “A lot of people out there don’t realize what goes on behind the scenes. Without a great car we wouldn’t be standing up here. I am very fortunate to be in a very good ride.”
Jamie Maiolo (No. 99 J&J) finished ninth and Luch Monte (No. 17 J&J) came home tenth in the final rundown.
Other solid J&J Auto Racing finishes: Ricky Logan scored a pair of top-eight finishes during the season opening weekend of competition for the ASCS Gulf South region. On Saturday night, he finished eighth at Battleground Speedway….Donny Schatz raced the Tony Stewart Racing No. 15 Armor All J&J from 13th to fourth in World of Outlaws action at Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, Calif.
