USCS – BOOTHEEL 200

Former USCS champion Marshall Skinner was the star of stars on Saturday night in the United Sprint Car Series Bootheel 200 at Malden (MO) Speedway. Skinner raced his No. 26 J&J from the pole after he won the first heat race. Early in the race, Skinner held the post and was followed by his teammate and fellow J&J racer, Derek Hagar, around the 3/8-mile dirt oval.

The teammates staged a fun duel during the final 14 laps with Skinner ultimately holding on for the win over Hagar and his No. 9 J&J. Don Young (No. 75 J&J) finished sixth and was joined in the top-10 by Justin Carver (No. 24 J&J), who finished ninth, and Terry Gray (No. 10 J&J), who finished 10th.

Other strong finishes…Doug Esh had a solid weekend in the Trone Motorsports No 39 J&J. He led 24 of the 25 laps in the feature event at Williams Grove Speedway before finishing third. On Saturday night, he finished second at Lincoln Speedway.
