HOLLY, Mich. – With an expanded schedule, an intriguing roster of drivers, and a robust television broadcast package, the Must See Racing Xtreme Sprint Series prepares for their most ambitious season to date in 2010.

North Carolina biotechnology company BIOBASED USA ( www.biobased.us ) has joined the series as a presenting sponsor. BIOBASED is a manufacturer of Soy Soap and other green products, and is owned by sprint car entrants Don and Suellen Wilshe.

The series, featuring powerful winged sprint cars on some of the nation’s most intimidating venues, will get underway on May 8 at the legendary Salem Speedway for the Winged Sprint Spectacular. The event will be the first of ten MSR events which will be broadcast to nearly 60 million households through a variety of national and regional networks.

“Our goal is to make each of our events an enjoyable outing for both fans and competitors,” said MSR president and founder Jim Hanks. “We’re putting a great deal of effort and energy into making the fan experience a top priority, allowing both traditional and new fans an opportunity to have fun and be entertained by a very exciting form of motorsports. These are the world’s fastest short track cars, and they provide a tremendous entertainment property.”

The series will visit several legendary venues in 2010, including Salem, Anderson Speedway, Winchester Speedway, Auto City Speedway, Kalamazoo Speedway, Slinger Speedway, and Dells Raceway Park.

Each event will feature an impressive roster of nationally-known drivers, including Dave Steele, Jason Blonde, Jeff Bloom, Hank Lower, Troy DeCaire, Tim Cox, Ryan Litt, Bobby East, Blaze Martin, Aaron Pierce, Jacob Wilson, Jimmy McCune, Sondi Eden, Travis Miniea, Jim Swain, Kyle Flint, and many others.

One of the season highlights comes on May 29, when the MSR stars remove their wings for one of the richest and most prestigious events in sprint car racing, the 62nd Pay Less Little 500 at Anderson Speedway.

All events will be broadcast on a delayed basis over an expanded network of regional sports networks, reaching Chicago, California, Denver, Salt Lake City, Tampa/Orlando, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Virginia, Michigan, Indiana, and North Carolina, as well as a national audience on both DirecTV and Dish Network. The broadcast team includes veteran anchor Rick Benjamin, Hall of Fame driver Tom Bigelow, and veteran pit reporter Dave Argabright.

“One of the interesting elements to emerge over the off-season is the regional rivalries that are forming,” said Hanks. “It’s kind of a North-South thing, because the Florida guys seem very eager to prove themselves in the Midwest, while the Midwestern guys view these tracks as their home turf.

“It adds another level of intensity, and it makes things even more competitive and interesting. It’s going to be an intriguing season, there isn’t any doubt about that.”
