Bakersfield, CA – (April 17, 2010) — “The Kruser” Cory Kruseman drove to victory at the Bakersfield Speedway in Bakersfield, California for his first win of the year with the USAC Western States Midget Series. The win would be an important one for Kruseman, as he has his sights set on winning the 2010 championship.
The last time Cory climbed behind the wheel of his Kruseman Enterprises, Lucas Oil, No. 21k, he charged to a fourth place finish at Ventura Raceway on April 3, during USAC Western States Midget competition.
Cory would take to the speedway in the Mike Nigh wrenched machine and qualify eighth on the field. “The Kruser” would then cruise to victory in his eight-lap heat race. Kruseman then drove to the win in the 30-lap feature event, after wrestling the lead away from Robby Josett on lap-12 and would never be headed, en route to his first USAC triumph of the season.
With his win, Cory was able to move in to second place in the USAC Western States Midget point standings.
