McKENZIE, TN – (April 21) – J&J Auto Racing teams continued to find victory lane over the weekend in Sprint car action around the globe. Steve Lines closed his season in Australia by winning another feature event, while Randy Martin scored back-to-back wins in Missouri. Derek Hagar, TJ Luedke and Cody Burks all picked up their first win of 2010 driving J&J’s this past weekend as well.
MURRAY BRIDGE SPEEDWAY
Steve Lines concluded his 2009/10 season in winning fashion as he dominated the feature event aboard the David Challons-owned No. 45 H.A. Young Plumbing and Camden Neon Signs sponsored J&J. Lines, who has recently won three other feature events, fended off an early challenge from David Murcott to claim the win.
Lines started the night by winning both of his heat races and then finished second in the Dash event.
“I couldn’t have hoped for a better way to finish off the season and it gives us plenty of confidence going into next season,” admitted the newly crowned . “It’s also the perfect way to round out the season to reward my car owner David Challons and all of the team for all their hard work throughout the season and also all my valued sponsors for their ongoing support, as I simply couldn’t have done it without them.”
STATE FAIR SPEEDWAY
Randy Martin raced to a thrilling win on Friday night at State Fair Speedway in Sedalia, Mo. Martin raced the No. 14 Diamond Pet Foods sponsored J&J from the front row and quickly into the lead. Early in the race, Martin pulled out to a comfortable lead, but later in the race he worked traffic masterfully to claim the win.
LAKE OZARK SPEEDWAY
Randy Martin made it two wins in two nights in the Show-Me State on Saturday night. He drove his No. 14 Diamond Pet Foods sponsored J&J to the $3000 win in the Winged Outlaw Warrior event at Lake Ozark Speedway. It was anything but easy for Martin as he spent the first half of the race in second and then found himself first battling Jason Johnson for second and then Brady Bacon for third. A caution flag gave them a restart late and Martin first worked past Bacon and then set his sites on Johnson. With two laps remaining the leaders got together and Martin steered clear and took the No. 14 J&J with Roush-Yates power to victory lane.
I-30 SPEEDWAY
Derek Hagar came out on top in Saturday night’s Sprint car feature event at I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Ark. Hagar raced the No. 9 J&J to victory and was joined on the podium by fellow J&J racer, Terry Gray, who finished third in the No. 10 J&J.
RIVERSIDE INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY
Cody Burks was victorious at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Ark. Burks drove his Webb Farms No. 38 Dynotech-powered J&J to victory in the wingless Sprint car program on Saturday night.
In the 360 Winged Sprint car division, Marshall Skinner finished third driving his No. 26 J&J and Jan Howard came home fifth in the No. 46 Stinson Industrial/Brim’s Snack Foods sponsored J&J.
DODGE COUNTY SPEEDWAY
TJ Luedke opened the 2010 season in style by winning Saturday night’s Sprint car feature event at Dodge County Speedway in Beaver Dam, Wisc. Luedke drove the TJ Motorsports No. 21t J&J to the victory.
