Marysville-Mother nature will win this one tonight at Marysville Raceway Park. With rain and temperatures in the low 40s predicted by 6 PM (National Weather Service Enhanced Radar: Southwest Sector) promoters Paul and Kathy Hawes have cancelled the program for Saturday May 22. 3 of the 5 divisions scheduled get the nucleus of their participants from significant distances. In order to prevent the drivers, car owners and the fans they bring from having to turn around early in the evening and go home, the Hawes’ decision came at about 10AM.
Next week, the mighty MRP Winged Sprint Cars return with a complete program of MRP Wingless Warrior Sprint Cars as well. It will be H & H Trenching Night at the raceway. The BCRA full Midgets will compliment the open wheel portion of the show. The fendered portion of the show will feature the wild action of the MRP Super Stocks and the eye-popping door handle to door handle antics of the MRP Mighty Mini Stocks. The pit gate opens at 3PM. The spectator gates will open at 5 PM with Hot Laps at 6 PM..
