Finale of Boot Hill Showdown Postponed Until Sunday Afternoon for the World of Outlaws at Dodge City Raceway Park

Dodge City, KS-June 12, 2010- Rain has forced the postponement of the finale of the Boot Hill Showdown for the World of Outlaws at Dodge City Raceway Park in Kansas originally scheduled for tonight (Saturday, June 12). The race has been rescheduled for Sunday afternoon (June 13) beginning with the driver’s meeting at 1 p.m. Central and racing at 2 p.m. Central. The grandstands gates will open at 12 p.m. Central.

Sammy Swindell was victorious in the opener of the Boot Hill Showdown on Friday night in a thriller over Joey Saldana, with Jason Sides third, Kerry Madsen fourth and Jason Meyers fifth.

Saldana used the runner-up finish to extend his lead in the World of Outlaws championship standings to 30 markers over Jason Meyers. Saldana set fast time on Friday night to earn five bonus points in the standings. Steve Kinser is currently third in points, 39 markers out of the lead with Jason Sides fourth and Donny Schatz fifth.
