At a Glance: Kasey’s King of LaSalle, Beaver Dam Raceway & Cedar Lake Speedway

WHAT

•The World of Outlaws continue a busy stretch of races with the final event of the four-race Showdown for the Bud Crown mini-series with Kasey’s King of LaSalle Presented By Budweiser at LaSalle Speedway in Illinois on Thursday, July 8. Jason Meyers and Paul McMahan are currently first and second in the standings for the Showdown for the Bud Crown with Steve Kinser third. The series then heads north to Wisconsin for a doubleheader weekend in the Badger State on Saturday, July 10 at Beaver Dam Raceway and Sunday, July 11 at Cedar Lake Speedway. Joey Saldana, currently leads the series standings by 20 markers over Steve Kinser with Jason Meyers third, just 27 out of the lead. Meyers leads the series with seven wins. Danny Lasoski won the last World of Outlaws race at LaSalle Speedway in 2004. He is also the defending winner at Beaver Dam Raceway, while Donny Schatz was victorious last season at Cedar Lake Speedway.

WHEN

•On Thursday, July 8 at LaSalle Speedway, the pit gates will open at 1 p.m. Central, with the grandstand gates opening at 4 p.m. Central and hot laps are set for 3 p.m. Central with time trials to follow. Racing is set for 6:30 p.m. Central.

•On Saturday, July 10 at Beaver Dam Raceway, the pit gates will open at 2 p.m. Central, with the grandstand gates opening at 4 p.m. Central and hot laps are set for 6 p.m. Central with time trials to follow. Racing is set for 7:30 p.m. Central.

•On Sunday, July 11 at Cedar Lake Speedway, the pit gates will open at 3 p.m. Central, with the grandstand gates opening at 4 p.m. Central and hot laps are set for 6 p.m. Central with time trials to follow.

WHERE

•LaSalle Speedway is located in LaSalle, Illinois. Take I-80 to I-39 (exit 79-A), then south to exit 57, then east on U.S. Highway 6.

• Beaver Dam Raceway is located in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. Travel 0.4 miles east of U.S. 151 on SR 33, then south on Raceway Road.

•Cedar Lake Speedway is located in New Richmond, Wisconsin. Travel one mile east of SR 35 on SR 64 (in Somerset), then 4.2 miles north on CR C to CR CC, then left 1.8 miles.

TICKETS

•On Thursday, July 8 at LaSalle Speedway, tickets for adults are $29 in advance and $35 the day of the race. Children’s Reserved Seats (12 years old and younger) are $9. Camping will be available at the track (no hook-ups) on Wednesday July 7 and Thursday, July 8.

•On Saturday, July 10 at Beaver Dam Raceway, general admission tickets will be $30 for adults in advance and $35 the day of the race, with general admission tickets for children ages 6-12 $15, while kids five-under admitted free of charge in the general admission section. Adult reserved tickets will be $33 in advance and $35 the day of the race, with reserved tickets for children ages 12-under $15 in advance and $15 the day of the race.
