KNOXVILLE, IOWA (August 10, 2010) – Knoxville Nationals-winning car owners Danny Peace and Bob Trostle headline Thursday’s new “Sixty Minutes in the Trostle Garage With…” autograph sessions at the National Sprint Car Museum in Knoxville. The one-hour sessions will be staged in the air-conditioned museum’s east wing and they are free with a paid museum admission. Others who will be appearing in the Trostle Garage are 1962 Knoxville Nationals runner-up Gordon Woolley, veteran Nationals videographer Gary Mallonee, past “Mr. Sprint Car” titlists Ricky Logan and Jason Johnson, and “First Lady” Erin Crocker and her husband Ray Evernham.
The schedule is as follows: 10:30 a.m. – Danny Peace, 11:30 a.m. – Gordon Woolley, 12:30 p.m. – Gary Mallonee, 1:30 p.m. – Ricky Logan & Jason Johnson, 2:30 p.m. – Erin Crocker Evernham & Ray Evernham, 3:30 p.m. – Bob Trostle.
Also in the museum on Thursday are three Knoxville Nationals Fan Fair forums at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. Jon Evans of Oval Express magazine will host “International Sprint Car Racing” at 11 a.m. with Jamie Veal, David Mills, Daryl Turford and Trevor Green. Bill Wright of Knoxville Raceway will host “Legends of Knoxville Raceway” at 1 p.m. with Danny Lasoski and Terry McCarl. And Stacy Ervin will host “Women in Sprint Car Racing” at 3 p.m. with many, many female Nationals competitors, including Erin Crocker and Melinda Dumesny. The fan fair forums are moderated and they will feature special guests.
The Members Only VIP Reception will take place at 1 p.m. on Thursday on the second floor. It is free for all supporting members of the museum foundation, with memberships available in the lobby for just $25 annually. The reception will feature award-winning author Dave Argabright interviewing ‘the Original Outlaws’ – Rick Ferkel, Danny Smith, Sammy Swindell and Doug Wolfgang.
