Lavonia, Georgia – September 4, 2010 – Young gun Danny Martin, Jr. from Sarasota, Florida passed defending series Champion, Terry gray from Bartlett, Tennessee on lap 24 of the 30-lap United Sprint Car Series presented by Goodyear main event for the lead at Lavonia Speedway on Saturday night to capture his first USCS main event of the 2010 season. It was Martin’s 19th career USCS victory.
Defending series Champion Terry Gray who started on the K&N Filters Pole Position came home in the runner-up spot. Gray led the first twenty -three laps of the main event. C.J. Miller from Denver, North Carolina charged home in third place followed by the May 15th, Lavonia Speedway feature winner, Matt Linder from Hoschton, Georgia in the fourth position. The USCS presented by Goodyear Rookie of the Race, Justin Lineman from Mooresville, North Carolina rounded out the top five finishers .
Seventeen year-old female rookie hot-shoe, Morgan turpen from Bartlett, Tennessee led the next group in sixth place. Coby Adams from Mooresville, North Carolina followed her in the seventh position. Adams won the Engler Machine and Tool First Heat, then failed to go to the scales and started dead last in the field. Veteran sprint car racer, Ray Bugg from Iuka, Mississippi finished in eighth position. Lee Moore from Tuscaloosa, Alabama followed in the ninth position and David Clark from Huntersville, North Carolina rounded out the top ten.
Coby Adams was the KSE Racing Products Hard Charger and his team-mate Justin Lineman was the Rookie of the Race.
