BLOOMINGTON, Ind., Sept. 9, 2010 – With the support of several great companies, Bloomington Speedway and Tri-State Speedway have organized a “racers giveaway” drawing for any team that enters both of the Midwest Sprint Car Series races on Sept. 17 (Bloomington) and Sept. 18 (Haubstadt).

The Midwest Sprint Car Series passes through Bloomington Speedway Friday night, Sept. 17, for the annual Fall Clash. In addition to Bloomington’s Grimes Pools and Spas Sprint Car regulars, some of the country’s best sprint cars drivers are expected to race for the $5,000-to-win purse and the chance to win great gifts.

More than 65 sprint cars filled the Bloomington Speedway pit area for the 2009 Fall Clash.

The grand prize in the “racers giveaway” is a new sprint car DMI Bulldog XR-2 rear end, valued at nearly $2,000. The drawing will take place at Tri-State Speedway on Saturday night, Sept. 18. The DMI Bulldog Rear End is courtesy of DMI, Sprint Mart, Bloomington Speedway, and Tri-State Speedway.

Other giveaways include two Hoosier DT-3 Racing Tires, which is the mandatory right rear tire in Midwest Sprint Car Series racing. Two drivers will receive one racing tire each, courtesy of Hoosier Tire Midwest of Springfield, Ill.
Kurt Gross and VP Racing Fuel Midwest, of Terre Haute, Ind., will give away a 55-gallon drum of racing fuel. AFCO Racing Products, of Boonville, Ind., is offering a $200 certificate toward the purchase of two, small body adjustable remote gas shocks. The recipient of the certificate must purchase two new shocks to receive the discount. Speedway Motors, Inc., of Lincoln, Neb., will be giving away a helmet bag.

Bloomington Speedway and Tri-State Speedway, along with the Midwest Sprint Car Series, appreciate the involvement of these various sponsors in assisting with and providing these valuable prizes for this year’s racers giveaway.
The Tire and Wheel Center UMP Super Stocks will also be racing next Friday with $600 going to the winner if there are 27 or fewer cars. The winner will receive $750 if there are 28 or more Super Stocks racing that night.

Spectator gates Friday night open at 5:30 p.m.; hot laps are at 6:30 with racing beginning at 7:30. General admission is $20 for adults, and kids under 12 are always FREE general admission at Bloomington Speedway with a general admission paying adult.
