December 30, 2010 — Holly, MI. — Must See Racing officials have released the series 2011 Rule Book announcing several revised rules, a new B-Main transfer format and a major tire rule change, designed to improve short track racing, racing competition and entertainment for race fans.

Starting in 2011, B Main competitors will no longer get their qualifying time back and will start the feature event behind the feature heat race transferred cars.

A one right rear tire rule for qualifying, heat race and feature has been put in place and is expected to be a significant costs saving, without reducing the high speed down force passing, and wheel to wheel competition of the “Worlds Fastest Short Track Cars”.

MSR president Jim Hanks commented “ The B Main transfer rule really gets down to having a very competitive group of race teams and having hard racing every time our teams are on the track. The new right rear tire rule is designed to help achieve our three simple, however, extremely Important objectives – #1 safety, #2 level competitive playing field and #3 a very substantial costs reduction for the race teams. I fully understand that change always comes with some difficulty, however, we have to get a positive resolution to the costs and quality issue with tires. Everyone in racing has discussed it, analyzed it and quite frankly, non stop complained about it for a very long time. It’s time to come up with an honest, transparent and objective solution, period. We have done extensive research and testing and will do final testing this winter to determine exactly which tire will meet the three critical objectives. I have personally discussed these objectives, goals, testing results and our anticipated direction with our core race teams and the overwhelming majority are completely supportive.”
