Port Royal – February 4 is the revised deadline for 2010 season reserve seat ticket holders to renew their seats for the upcoming 2011 racing season at Port Royal Speedway.
Officials moved the deadline back three days due to electrical upgrades at the facility that will cause power outages during the week of January 24, thus potentially hampering office hours on Tuesday and Thursday.
At a cost of $50.00, season reserve seats will be good for all race events including fairweek races in 2011. It is important to note that this pass reserves seats only and is not good for general admission to any events during the upcoming season.
Family Seating will be available for the first time at Port Royal this season. Section C of the main grandstand has been designated as such and therefore NO SMOKING OR USE OF ALCOHOL WILL BE PERMITTED IN SECTION C.
Section C season seat ticket holders from 2010 who wish to move to another section for 2011 must contact the speedway office to make the necessary arrangements. Those who wish to remain in Section C must submit orders and payment as usual.
Those who held season seats in 2010 must submit their payment and request for renewal before February 4 or give up their seats. After February 4, any seats not renewed will be offered for sale.
In addition, season pit passes are being offered at a price of $400 each. General admission season passes are also available at a cost of $250.00, which does include admission to all 2011 fairweek races.
Scheduled office hours during the current off-season are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 AM until Noon. Contact the speedway office at 717.527.2303 for credit card sales or mail orders can be submitted, made payable to Port Royal Speedway, to: Port Royal Speedway, Box 295, Port Royal, PA 17082.
The 2011 season opener featuring 410 and 358 sprint cars at Port Royal Speedway is slated for March 19 at 6 PM. The late models join the 410 sprints one week later.
An exciting 2011 schedule of events was recently released that features visits by USAC sprints, ARDC midgets, URC sprints and the All Star Circuit of Champions sprints. Popular events returning in 2011 include the Keystone Cup, PA Speedweek and the Dream Race.
