January 6, 2011 – Atlanta, GA – The final arrangements have been made for
the fourteenth anniversary United Sprint Car Series presented by Goodyear
Champion’s Awards Banquet on Saturday, January 29, 2011. The banquet to
honor the drivers and teams who finished at or near the top of the 2010
point standings in four USCS divisions will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the
Andretti Indoor Karting located at 11000 Alpharetta Highway, Roswell,
Georgia 30076 just north of Atlanta. The facility is owned by famed race car
drivers Mario and John Andretti and is adorned with racing memorabilia
throughout.
The USCS presented by Goodyear will award approximately $60,000 in cash and
merchandise awards for the 2010 season to the top ten drivers in three USCS
National and Regional series. Those include the USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour
presented by Goodyear national championship division which competed 35 times
for points on both dirt and paved ovals. The others are the USCS Mid-South
Thunder Tour and the USCS Southern Thunder Tour. Awards will also be
presented for the five-race Asphalt Thunder Tour mini-series.
In addition to the awards ceremony a day of food, fun and friendly
competition is planned. Attendees will be able to compete for honors of the
day on several of the venue’s attractions including the weather-proof
challenging indoor kart circuit. The facility also offers a state of the art
arcade with approximately 125 high tech games.
USCS Founder and President, Pete Walton said” We’ve had about five or six
years in a row of evening time sit-down dinner banquets at elegant
locations. That’s just fine but, we just thought it was time to get together
and put a little emphasis on the reason we are all involved in this sport.
The primary reason we do this is “for the fun of it”.
Advance banquet tickets are $30 per person and are available by mailing your
payment to 175 Antebellum Way, Fayetteville, GA 30215. Advance banquet
tickets orders must be received by January 22, 2010. All parties must

The USCS banquet is open to USCS sprint car fans as well as the series race

Modified Touring Series Awards ceremony will be held in Memphis, Tennessee
in early February at a location to be announced next week.
