TULSA, Okla. (March 1, 2011) – With the ASCS Gulf South Region season opener just a few short days away, it was announced today that Smiley’s Racing Products will be the Regional Tour’s title sponsor for the 2011 season.
A leader in the racing business since 1968, the Dallas/Fort Worth-based Smiley’s Racing Products offers a wide array of high performance, circle track and oval track race parts for Sprint Cars, Late Models and more.
Now dubbed the Smiley’s Racing Products ASCS Gulf South Region, the tenth season of Gulf South action is set to consist of 26 nights of racing action at ten different tracks throughout Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi in 2011.
The 2011 Smiley’s Racing Products ASCS Gulf South campaign kicks off with Friday night’s $3,000-to-win Prelude to the Gulf Coast Nationals at Beaumont’s Golden Triangle Raceway Park before moving on to Battleground Speedway in Highlands, TX, for the $3,000-to-win Fourth Annual Gulf Coast Nationals on Saturday night.
Ray Allen Kulhanek of Magnolia, TX, is the defending ASCS Gulf South champion, adding the 2010 crown to a previous series championship in 2005.
