Port Royal – The snow did it, and the rain too!
An unexpected dump of the white stuff Sunday night preceded by more than an inch of rain has doomed the second planned Bug Day practice session planned for this Saturday, March 12 at Port Royal Speedway.
PRS Promotions officials made the decision late Monday afternoon after a conversation with the track crew made it obvious that conducting the program would be impossible. Weather also forced cancellation of the first planned Bug Day slated for March 5.
Focus now shifts to a final planned bug session slated for Wednesday evening, March 16 from 6 – 9 PM.
The speedway will return with the season opener featuring 410 and 358 sprints on Saturday, March 19 at 6 PM.
