Bedford, Kentucky “Super-Fan” David Garrison has a mission in 2011 – to attend every USAC National race in all three major racing series – Silver Crown, Sprint and Midget!
That amounts to 74 races in 12 states from New Jersey to California and doesn’t include countless other USAC events in other racing series also planned as part of his 2011 exploits!
David, who won last year’s SuperFans amateur competition by attending 152 races at 104 tracks in 24 states, has already attended 33 races this year alone! He hopes to eclipse 150 total again in 2011. So far, after spending 44 years in the construction industry, he has visited over 275 American race tracks.
He already attended the “Bubba Army Sprint Nationals” USAC AMSOIL National Sprint “tripleheader” at Ocala, Florida in February and now targets the April 8-9 Sprint races at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio.
A bout with cancer in 2009 couldn’t even slow him down, logging more than 41,000 miles and attending all 28 UMP Summernationals races.
David looks forward to spending time with old and new friends as he pursues his 2011 goal of making every USAC National race.
