SELINSGROVE, PA – The hits just keep on coming for Selinsgrove driving sensation Blane Heimbach and the Creasy Heimbach Racing No. 12 sprint car team in 2011 as the team picked up its third win in as many area outings Saturday night at Selinsgrove Speedway.
After starting in eighth position, Heimbach blasted through the field to take over third on the fourth circuit of the 25-lap main event for 358 sprints.
And from there he stormed past leader TJ Stutts to open up a commanding lead, which he would hold to the finish.
In fact, Heimbach took the checkers some 2.7 seconds ahead of Stutts for his 32nd career Selinsgrove Speedway 358 sprint victory.
The balance of the top five was Nate Snyder, Larry Kelleher and Logan Schuchart.
Heimbach won his second sprint feature of the season a week earlier at Selinsgrove in his 358 sprint after topping the 410 sprint field at Port Royal Speedway to claim that track’s season opener two weeks earlier.
In the season opener at Selinsgrove last week that Heimbach copped, the versatile team and driver set a new 25-lap track record at the historic oval, wiping some 16 seconds off of the old mark.
The 28-year old pilot continues to be the winningest 358 sprint driver ever in the history of Selinsgrove Speedway.
This week’s win was the 62nd for Heimbach and Creasy since teaming in 2002.
