Aluminum Wheels joined the effort to honor late car owner Weikert on Monday by opting to give away a pair of free front Keizer wheels to finishers 2 and 9, in honor of the Weikert’s Livestock No. 29 sprinter that was so famous. Each wheel is valued at $185 and the winner can choose from any size. The $370 giveaway value from Keizer and the newly added $100 increase in heat payoff by Sports Plus Video has now pushed the total of contingency money and prizes slated to be distributed at the Weikert race up to $5,770. The winner of the 30-lap feature is guaranteed at least $7,100 and with laps 1 – 29 each paying $100 to lead, a payday for one driver of $10,000 or more is entirely possible. The Weikert’s fast time award will be worth at least $100.
